a continuation of here for @calliopewrites
tearing her gaze away from his shocked one, faye focused on pulling out items from the backpack of her latest kill. it wasn't as if she felt good about it but she was more than aware of the fact that no one was to be trusted these days. she wouldn't even take the chance. if she was by herself then she might've given the guy more than five seconds to explain himself but there was also justice to consider. she couldn't look out for the two of them completely and so neutralising any threat seemed to be the easiest thing to do. "i don't know that he wasn't a threat," she pointed out, slipping some of the items that she deemed useful into her own back. she preferred to focus on the task she'd given herself instead of shirking under what she felt like was his disappointed gaze. "you just want me to wait?" she posed it like a question but it wasn't one. "you want me to wait until someone lunges for you and i have to act, right?" he may be the more obvious threat of the two but she was definitely the real one, too action heavy for her own good. "i can't risk something happening to you. i won't do that."
